Council of Ministries

Mission Statement "The mission of the Parish Council of Ministries is to provide assistance to our pastor in representing and serving the people of Saint Anne and Assumption Church Parishes with vigilance, tolerance, and compassion by carrying out the Word of God through the various parish ministries." (Developed by the Parish Council September 24th, 2001)

INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL GOALS Our Internal Goals:  We commit ourselves, first, to prayer:  in our daily lives and as a Council.  We will strive to be examples of faith by also embracing the virtues of honesty, courtesy, integrity, and fidelity.  In our discussions and dialogue, we will relate to one another with respect and will keep the will of God and the common good of our faith community at heart.  We will also commit ourselves to an ongoing evaluation of our role and our mission effectiveness.  We will be faithful to our regular Parish Council meetings. Our External Goals:  Council members will listen openly to the members of our church community by maintaining contacts with ministry chairpersons.  In our discussions and dialogue (as a Council and with other parishioners) we will speak objectively, not relying on hearsay.  The Parish Council (as a body) will regularly publicize our membership to the community at-large.  We will also commit ourselves to an ongoing evaluation of the mission effectiveness of our entire parish faith community.
